Gateshead Safeguarding Adults Week

18 to 22 November 2019

Gateshead Safeguarding Adults Board is participating in national Safeguarding Adults Week from 18 to 22 November 2019. The aim is to raise awareness about Safeguarding Adults. The Board are challenging organisations and individuals to think about what YOU could do to raise awareness about Safeguarding Adults. This could be a coffee morning with residents, a focussed team meeting, a workshop or a conference.

As part of Safeguarding Adults Week front line practitioners are encouraged to come to the Civic Centre on Wednesday 20 November for a Speed Safeguarding drop in event. Drop in anytime between 9.30am and 12noon in the Whickham Room. Colleagues from health, police, probation, the council, advocacy services and more will be on hand to share information about many aspects of safeguarding adults including domestic abuse, county lines, preventing violent extremism, sexual exploitation, missing adults and more!
